Job summary

The Amergis school-based role supports students requiring instructional and behavioral assistance under supervision of the special education department. Responsibilities include aiding with mobility and therapeutic care as needed under guidance from health professionals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• The School Aide works with students requiring instructional and/or behavioral assistance under supervision of the special education department and supervising designee.
• May provide support for personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as established by health professionals.
