Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with disabilities in school settings.
• Ability to communicate and work well with students, teachers, parents and co-workers.
• Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with the teacher regarding student progress according to procedures.
• Reads and implements student behavior plans/504/IEP accommodations as required.
• Assists in providing adult supervision of individuals or small groups during instruction.
• Assists in preparing instructional materials and completing clerical tasks.
• Collects and records data as directed by teacher or administrator.
• Supervises students in school-related activities outside the classroom.
• Attends district meetings/workshops as required.
• Contacts families through case managers/classroom teachers as appropriate.
• Assists with health-related tasks as needed and follows individual plans.
