Cottonwood Community School is seeking a Special Education Para Professional to support certificated teachers and students with special needs. This full-time, 10-month position offers a starting wage of $15.15 per hour, with increases based on experience.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, ability to pass paraprofessional assessment, and experience with children with special education needs. Bi-lingual candidates are preferred and may receive additional compensation.

Qualifications

• Bi-lingual preferred.
• AA Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of special education students.
• Provide routine first aid to injured students and administer medications as required.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and implementing individual education plans.
• Monitor and record student attendance, behavior and progress.
• Escort students to and from designated locations and accompany on field trips.
