• Must pass Para-Pro Praxis exam.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct support to classroom teachers or substitutes in accomplishing educational goals.
• Assists with attendance and lunch counts.
• Assists with student supervision in the classroom, cafeteria, playground, during arrival/dismissal and on field trips.
• Under supervision of the teacher, conducts one-on-one tutoring or small group instruction in various subject areas.
• Assists with administering tests and quizzes.
• Assists in grading of homework, tests, quizzes and posting of grades.
• Operates duplicating machines and prepares educational materials; distributes materials.
• Assists in preparation of routine communications with parents.
• Assists, as required, with administering prescribed medication and documentation of this task.
• Prepares orders for educational supplies and maintains inventory records.
• Assists students with personal items and bathroom duties.
• Assists with file establishment and maintenance per school policy.
• Prepares bulletin boards, displays and classroom decorations.
• Provides assistance to library, school bookstore and offices by performing office tasks.
• Attends staff meetings and in-service trainings as required.
• Educational assistants may be assigned tasks by the principal when the classroom teacher is absent.
