Job summary

Crystal Lake Community Consolidated School District #47 is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support instructional activities for students under teacher supervision. Qualifications

• Valid ISBE Paraprofessional License or Short Term Approval.
• Willingness to learn appropriate use of technology.
• Must have desire to work with students with special needs.
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Maintain confidentiality of students and their records.
• Understand basic elements of an IEP (Individualized Education Program).

Responsibilities

• Communicate with teachers, staff, support services and students.
• Collaborate and foster teamwork.
• Maintain anecdotal notes and data recording as needed.
• Assist with implementing behavioral strategies and test accommodations as directed.
• Assist/monitor students during bus, lunchroom, recess and classroom activities.
• Ensure safety during activities and follow district procedures.
