Job summary

Boone County Schools is seeking a Special Education Aide / Instructional Aide / Bus Aide (Van Elementary School) to provide instructional, behavioral, personal-care, and transportation support under the direction of teachers and administrators.

The role emphasizes assisting students with IEPs, managing classroom tasks, and helping with transportation safety on bus routes, with a 200-day contract and schedule 8:00am-4:00pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience supporting students with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to assist with bus transportation as required due to the assigned route.
• Commitment to confidentiality and FERPA.
• Ability to follow directions and work with instructional staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and behavioral support to students.
• Assist with mobility, personal care, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Support safe bus transportation and supervised transitions.
• Maintain confidentiality and implement IEP-related accommodations.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with data collection.
