Job summary

Katy ISD is seeking an Aide - SPED - Structured CAP BTP at Katy Behavior Learning Center in Katy, Texas. Immediate start with 187 duty days and CP I certification requirements.

This non-exempt role reports to the Director for Specialized Programs and involves data tracking, instructional support and student care duties. Required 15 college hours, a high school diploma or GED, and Paraprofessional Educational Aide II certificate.

Qualifications

• 15 College hours completed or in progress; high school diploma or GED required.
• Paraprofessional Educational Aide II certificate required.
• Ability to work with students with disabilities and manage behavioral escalations.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to applicable special education policies and procedures.
• Assist in instructional programs for students and maintain records.
• Prepare instructional materials and support teacher-planned activities.
• Assist with ARD meetings preparation and data collection on student achievement and behavior.
• Provide instruction and behavior support under supervision of the classroom teacher.
