The Aptus Group is seeking a dedicated Special Education Aide to support students at a San Pedro high school. The role offers full-time hours aligned with school operating times and a pay rate of $22 per hour.

Responsibilities include providing one-on-one support, monitoring homework, and coordinating with teachers to promote positive student outcomes, while ensuring safety and well-being throughout the day.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace tools to support classroom activities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to assigned student(s) with diverse learning needs, including academic or physical assistance as required.
• Monitor and verify the completion of homework and missing assignments.
• Maintain proactive, confident support and address student needs and challenges.
• Ensure student safety and well-being during activities and transitions.
• Communicate with teachers and staff to coordinate support for students.

Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Location: San Pedro, CA 90731

Schedule: Full Time (School Operating Hours)

Requirements:

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 60 college units or an AA/AS degree is preferred
• Familiarity with Google Workspace tools to support classroom activities
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable Transportation
