Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree and active TN Teacher Certification in Secondary Education and Special Education.
• Minimum 5 years teaching experience in public/private settings.
• Strong collaboration and communication with families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assess students and develop/maintain IEPs and 504 plans.
• Adapt curriculum for small groups or one-on-one instruction.
• Monitor progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
• Host IEP meetings with parents and staff; train personnel on accommodations.
• Support transitions, ensure regulatory compliance, and milieu coverage.
• Supervise interns and engage in ongoing professional development.
