Qualifications

• Michigan Teaching Certificate with Cognitively Impaired (SA) endorsement or equivalent.
• T2EA certification is accepted for eligibility.
• Experience with cognitive impairments is preferred.
• Knowledge of special education instructional strategies and IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to students identified with Cognitive Impairment (SA).
• Develop and implement individualized instructional strategies based on student needs.
• Follow and implement student IEPs and individualized goals.
• Adapt curriculum and materials to support learning needs.
• Monitor and document student progress across academics, behavior, and functional skills.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, therapists, and administrators.
