Job summary

Blast Intermediate Unit 17 BLaST - Bradford County is seeking a Teacher Apprentice to train on the job in a special education classroom while completing an IU-approved PA teacher preparation program. The apprentice will assist the teacher with daily academic activities, behavior management, data collection, and documentation, while pursuing PK-12 certification requirements and maintaining coursework.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Enrollment in IU-approved PA teacher preparation program.
• Pursuit of PK-12 special education certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructor in implementing classroom procedures and preparing materials.
• Support behavioral management and maintain a safe, respectful classroom.
• Collect data and assist with attendance, records, and reports.
• Attend program meetings and adhere to district policies.
