Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a school aide for a 184-day schedule in Ohio. The role is 6.25 hours per day (8:45a–3:30p with a 30 min unpaid lunch) at a pay rate of $16.65–$19.65 per hour. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and may hold an Educational Aide Permit.

Must be punctual, able to operate school devices, maintain confidentiality, and support students with disabilities. CPR/First Aid training is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of child care or aide certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain an Educational Aide Permit through the Ohio Department of Education.
• Able to use a computer.
• Good organization skills.
• Ability to work co-operatively with other personnel.
• Must be punctual.
• Working knowledge of devices and equipment used in public schools.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• CPR/First Aid training required.
• Ability to work with diverse student disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision and care of students during the school day.
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, copying and record keeping.
• Operate wheelchairs and assistive devices as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism with students and families.
• Attend restraint training and implement safety procedures as required.
