Job summary

Kuna Joint School District 3 seeks a para paraprofessional to assist the Special Education Teacher in meeting each child’s IEP goals through individualized, small group, or classroom instruction across Resource Room and general education settings.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preference for two years of college or an associate degree and Praxis Para Pro score. Prior experience with school-age children is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of college or 32 credits preferred; associates degree acceptable.
• Praxis Para Pro cut score met required.
• Past experience with school-age children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education Teacher in achieving IEP goals through individual, small group, or whole group instruction.
• Maintain accurate program records and clerical information.
• Create positive classroom environment and assist with materials and displays.
• Supervise student behavior and enforce school policies.
• Assist with personal care and health needs as required.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
• Provide information and support in absence of the lead teacher.
