Job summary

Coweta Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher Assistant to support students at Southside Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. The position involves assisting teachers with individual student needs, tutoring in-class, and preparing materials and reports as required.

Must hold a Paraprofessional Certification (Coweta Public Schools can help with certification) and a High School diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Paraprofessional Certification is REQUIRED.
• Physical requirements include bending, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds, and frequent movement.

Responsibilities

• Assignments will vary throughout the district and may be assigned to multiple teachers.
• Assist teachers by addressing individual student needs.
• Support in-class tutoring and preparation of classroom materials, inventories and reports as required.
• Serve on duty schedule as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or Superintendent.
