Christa McAuliffe Elementary School offers placement under Title I with wage range $26.23–$40.17 per hour, based on years of service. Responsibilities include facilitating learning, managing behaviors, and assisting with instructional activities and required clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred; coursework in education such as behavior management.
• Nine college credit hours related to education, e.g., behavior management, instructional strategies.
• One year of experience with students in structured educational settings preferred.
• If no education coursework, two to four years of experience with children in structured settings.
• Two years of experience in structured settings with ParaPro assessment qualifying score may be required.

Responsibilities

• Promote student learning and well-being for students with IEPs.
• Assist with instructional activities and classroom management.
• Support students with academic, behavioral, social, emotional, and physical needs.
• May participate with students off school grounds and provide clerical support.
