Alpine District is seeking a Special Education Para-Educator III for the Post-High Transition program at Timpanogos. The role provides instructional support under supervision, helps implement IEPs, and supervises students with special needs in a transition setting.

Responsabilidades

• Provides under supervision instruction to students in individual and group activities to reinforce instructional objectives and IEP goals.
• Implements behavioral plans and interventions designed by IEP team.
• Supervises students on/off campus job sites, including transportation if required.
• Communicates progress and coordinates with supervising staff and support personnel.
• Monitors safety and behavior in various school environments.
• Maintains instructional materials and records for mandated requirements.
• Assists with adapting activities and materials to support objectives and IEP goals.
• Collects data to support teachers and prepare reports.
• Attends job-specific trainings to convey job-related information.
• Performs other duties to ensure efficient functioning of the work unit.
• Administers basic first aid as directed by health staff.
• Assists students with self-care activities and personal hygiene.
• Lifts up to 50 lbs when needed.
