Job summary

Weber School District Transportation in West Haven, Utah seeks a Special Education Bus Driver to transport students on scheduled routes and field trips with a focus on safety and compliance with DOT standards.

The driver will perform pre-trip inspections, enforce student conduct rules, and assist students with safe entry/exit from buses. A valid CDL with P endorsement and CPR/First Aid certifications are required or pursued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; CDL with P endorsement required
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred/required
• Strong commitment to safety and student wellbeing in daily bus operations
• Ability to communicate with students, parents and staff effectively
• Familiarity with State DOT rules and school transportation protocols

Responsibilities

• Transport students on scheduled routes and field trips in a timely, safe manner
• Enforce bus rules and safety procedures for all riders
• Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and report vehicle issues
• Assist students with loading/unloading and ensuring student safety
• Attend safety meetings and trainings as required
• Maintain paperwork such as incident reports and mileage logs
