Responsibilities

• Teaches special education pupils in a Special Day Class with an intensive language and speech program.
• Assesses individual pupil needs to plan individualized instruction.
• Develops and implements individualized education programs (IEPs) for each pupil.
• Establishes classroom behavior standards with the administrator to maintain an orderly environment.
• Coordinates with SST and parents on pupil progress.
• Maintains attendance and student records.
• Collaborates with staff to integrate students into regular classes as determined by IEPs.
