Showplace Wood Products, Inc. in Harrisburg, SD is seeking a skilled special cutter to produce precise cuts for custom and semi-custom cabinets. You will operate state-of-the-art cutting equipment, inspect panels, and help keep production moving in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time role offers weekday hours 7am–5pm, paid vacation, ESOP, 401K with company match, and comprehensive benefits. Training is provided and safety gear is required to work in a loud factory setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Basic reading & writing skills.
• Computer fluency.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Able to bend and twist during shift.
• Fluency with tape measure.
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds regularly.
• Able to work in a loud, fast-paced environment.
• 15 days paid vacation minimum earned per year.

Responsibilities

• Cut finished and specialized panels.
• Detect malfunctions; inspect parts; adjust controls; replace blades.
• Prepare machine for production; clean and maintain equipment.
• Rotate through operation of other cutting department machines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

As a special cutter, you'll be responsible for creating precise and accurate cuts using our state-of-the-art tools and equipment. Responsibilities

• Employee will cut finished and specialized panels.
• Additional responsibilities include detecting malfunctions; inspecting parts; adjusting controls and replacing blades.
• Prepares machine for production. Cleans and maintains machine, tooling and parts to maintain equipment in optimal production condition.
• Will rotate through operation of other cutting department machines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Working Hours

• Monday through Friday 7am to 5pm
• Friday 7am until production is complete (no later than 5pm)
• Rare Saturdays

General Requirements

Showplace provides job specific training prior to assigning employees to their position. We are looking for a candidate that either possesses or is willing to acquire the following skills:
