Job summary

Hedrick Gardner Kincheloe & Garofalo LLP in Raleigh, NC seeks an experienced Special Counsel to join our Civil Litigation practice. The ideal candidate has NC licensure and at least five years of civil litigation experience in defense of complex matters.

The successful attorney will manage cases through all phases, develop strategy, and advocate for sophisticated clients while collaborating with colleagues in a supportive, results‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of civil litigation experience.
• NC-licensed attorney with active license to practice in North Carolina.
• Experience defending civil litigation through all phases of litigation.
• Preferred areas: Construction, Products, Professional, Premises, or Commercial Litigation.
• Strong writing, advocacy, client-relations, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a civil litigation caseload.
• Develop case strategy and advocate for clients.
• Handle matters through discovery, motions, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Collaborate with team and serve as primary client contact.
