Qualifications

• Master’s degree in library and information science from an accredited college or university.
• Eight years of progressively responsible library, museum, and exhibitory experience.
• Five years in a supervisory capacity.
• Experience working in a historical society or special collections preferred.

Responsabilités

• Manage and supervise reference staff, onboarding, training, and professional development.
• Lead delivery of high‑quality reference and information services for researchers and patrons.
• Oversee cataloging, preservation, and development of library and archival collections.
• Develop onsite educational programs and community archives initiatives.
• Ensure facilities security and maintenance of the reading room and materials.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to plan long‑term library goals and reporting.
• Prepare narrative and statistical reports for internal and external audiences.
• Oversee budget requests and fundraising materials related to library needs.
• Ensure copyright compliance and manage library technology systems.
