Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire for experienced RNs; within 6 months for new grads.
• Medical/Surgical and ICU/CCU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based care tailored to patients in the Special Care Unit.
• Create and adjust individualized plans of care for patients and families.
• Supervise, mentor, and delegate to support staff for excellent team-based care.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary partners for best outcomes.
• Educate patients and families to empower participation in care.
• Document care plans and patient progress clearly and accurately.
• Stay current with continuing education, safety protocols, and competencies.
• Support staff development through preceptorship and mentoring.
• Contribute to unit and hospital projects focused on improving patient care.
