Job summary

Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Wheeler 5 unit (Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Orthopedic & Oncology). You will provide comprehensive nursing care across multiple specialties on a night shift, 7:00 pm to 7:30 am.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, develop care plans, monitor telemetry, and educate patients and families to support recovery. A Massachusetts RN license and BLS are required; prior med/surg or telemetry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in medical/surgical, telemetry, or orthopedic nursing preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and confidentiality with computerized systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care using the full nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Monitor telemetry patients and support post-surgical, orthopedic, and oncology cases with specialized care.
• Create, implement, and update individualized care plans for patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless care.
• Educate patients and families, empowering them with knowledge for recovery and self-care.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes with accuracy.
