Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISO 14001 guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in safety training for new hires and yearly compliance training.
• Help ensure OSHA compliance across programs including lockout/tagout, forklift operation, confined space, electrical safety, respirators, blood borne pathogens, PPE, hazard communication, hearing conservation, etc.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting safety training for new hires and other safety training including yearly compliance training
• Assist in ensuring OSHA compliance with applicable programs including lockout tagout, forklift operation, confined space, electrical safety, respirators, blood borne pathogens, personal protective equipment, hazard communication, hearing conservation, etc.
• Manage recycling program
• Help facilitate plant emergency action plan including fire evaluation chemical and other foreseeable emergency type situations
• MSDS management
• Assist in Hygiene testing
• Oversee Workers’ Compensation program
• Creates and conducts safety program that includes safety team creation and management to drive positive safety changes
• Manage ergonomics including workstation analysis countermeasures
• Conducting necessary training and audits for 5S
• Assist in managing the ISO 14001 system for the plant
• Other duties as assigned by management
• Ensure that accident reports are being completed and countermeasures implemented as necessary
• Generate reporting of all activities for management
• Ensure “Hot Work” system is being followed as necessary
• Address facilities related insurance issues as they arise
• Accompany Federal, State and Local Safety, Health and Environmental inspectors when they come onsite
