Valley Childrens Healthcare in Central California is seeking a SPD Technician Floor Lead to oversee the daily workflow and assignments of Tech I-III, ensuring cleaning, inspection, assembly, high-level disinfection, and sterilization of instrumentation and endoscopes. You will enter data into the instrument tracking system and ensure compliance with policies.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, certifications CIS, CRCST, CBSPDT, and at least five years in sterile processing.

Job Summary: The SPD Technician Floor Lead is accountable for the daily work flow and assignments of Tech I, Tech II, and Tech III staff, to ensure cleaning, inspecting, assembly, high-level disinfection, and/or sterilization of all instrumentation, medical devices, and flexible endoscopes for the hospital. Responsible for accurately entering data into an instrument tracking system. Follows departmental policies, processes, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: Education High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required) Licenses and Certifications CIS - Certified Instrument Specialist - HSPA - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (required) CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician - HSPA - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (required) Or CBSPDT - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certified Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution (required) Work Experience Minimum five (5) years A minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience, which includes specialty instrumentation, devices, and equipment. (preferred) Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and knowledge of instrumentation, medical devices, and endoscopes.
