Job summary

ASM Global in Albuquerque is seeking a part-time Concessions Cook to prepare and serve hot and cold items in accordance with Company Standards during events. The role emphasizes sanitation, timely preparation, and teamwork in a fast-paced arena environment.

The successful candidate will maintain equipment, assist with opening/closing duties, and ensure quality and consistency across all served items while working evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

• Package products to specifications and manage waste per guidelines.
• Perform opening, closing, and side-work duties as instructed.
• Maintain sanitation and food safety throughout shift.

POSITION: Concessions Cook

DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage

REPORTS TO: F&B Supervisor/ Manager

FLSA STATUS: Part-time, Hourly

Summary

Concessions Cook is responsible for preparing and serving hot and/or cold food items, in accordance with Company Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining, organizing and cleaning all equipment
• Attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service
• Properly prepare, measure, and portion all food items in a timely manner
• Complies with all quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures
• Utilizes and sets up kitchen equipment to prepare food items
• Packages all products to proper specifications
• Performs opening, closing and side work duties as instructed
• Keeps workstation and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
• Uses waste control guidelines and records all waste on spoilage sheet
• Understand and maintain proper sanitation and food safety
• Abides by all Company policies in the Human Resources Policies and Procedures, the Business Code of Conduct
• Other duties as assigned

Experience/Training/Education Requirements:

• Must be a minimum 18 years of age
• 6 months to 1-year previous food service experience desired
• Must be flexible, have a sense of urgency, be able to respond quickly and resourcefully to internal and external issues
• Working knowledge of food production techniques, purchasing, and sanitation procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to take tasks that are not clearly defined and appropriately define problem, propose and implement solutions
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

License/Certificate:

• Food Handlers Card

Ability to:

• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

• This position requires standing, walking, bending and lifting 25lbs. throughout the day
• as well as working at the computer; irregular hours will be required.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move
• around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear.
• This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
