Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid CDL with school bus endorsement and a good driving record.
• School bus driver certificate signed by the Superintendent.
• Complete pre-employment driver training and bus education programs.
• Legal age per Ohio Revised Code and physical qualification.
• Annual driver records check and clear BCII/FBI record; random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Substitute for absent regular bus drivers and cover field trips as needed.
• Accompany regular drivers to familiarize with routes and students.
• Perform shuttle trips and participate in transportation meetings.
• Assist with seat repairs and basic bus maintenance, keeping buses clean.
• Record and file data related to transportation operations; follow supervisor directions.
