Job summary

The Kirtland Board of Education is hiring school bus drivers in Willoughby, Ohio. The position pays hourly between $22.82 and $28.02, with AM and PM routes requiring a minimum of two hours each.

Candidates must hold a valid CDL with a school bus endorsement and a clean driving record, and must obtain a school bus driver certificate signed by the Superintendent. The district notes discretion to place drivers on the salary schedule based on prior experience.

Qualifications

• An annual driver's records check as defined in the current Ohio Revised Code (Rule: 3301-83-07).
• Evidence of a clear record as determined by the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCII) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
• Subject to random drug testing.

• Ability to lift, carry, or move equipment or supplies weighing up to fifty pounds.
• Ability to travel freely between throughout the district's buildings.
• Ability to occasionally work with young children in activities that may require stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Ability to climb and work from a step stool, ladder, lift platform, or other equipment that requires balancing skills.
• Ability to organize and complete tasks efficiently without supervision.
• Ability to be punctual and maintain a good attendance record.
• Ability to identify and express maintenance concerns to appropriate district staff.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to maintain a tactful disposition in dealing with administrators, staff, students, parents, and the public.
