Job summary

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits is hiring Spare Driver Helpers to deliver our brands to local retail accounts. This full‑time role requires a CDL A license, a safe driving record, and flexibility for early hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.

You will drive delivery trucks, load and unload, collect payments, and maintain accurate paperwork while representing our company with professionalism and care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Commercial Driver's License (Class A) required.
• Must have a safe driving record.
• Able and willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Drive delivery trucks, vans, and/or tractor-trailer to retail accounts.
• Follow outlined itineraries and adapt to daily needs.
• Collect payments from accounts as needed.
• Lift, stack, and transport beer cases and kegs.
• Build relationships with retailers by timely delivery and product rotation.
• Complete paperwork, load sheets, and cash/checks promptly.
• Ensure DOT checklists are completed and report issues.
• Load and unload product from side loader trucks.
• May assist with warehouse duties when required.

Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with an hourly pay rate of $19.76 / hour. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

Overview

Spare Driver Helpers are responsible for delivering some of the world's best-known brands to accounts in the local area.

This position comes with the opportunity to earn a CDL A

Hours: Tuesday-Saturday starting at 5:30am

Primary Responsibilities

• Drive commercial delivery trucks, vans, and/or tractor-trailer combinations to deliver product to retail account
• Follow an outlined itinerary and be willing to work as a part of team whose account types and delivery routes can change based on daily need
• Collect payments from accounts as needed
• Lift, stack, and transport cases and kegs of beer of varying weights to accounts
• Build strong relationships with retailers by delivering Anheuser-Busch products in a timely and efficient manner and rotating product as necessary to ensure freshness. You’re the face of our company, make us proud!
• Complete and submit all required paperwork, invoices, display forms, load sheets and cash/checks within appropriate time frames
• Ensure accurate completion of Department of Transportation checklist and report maintenance problems and accidents in a timely manner
• Manually load and unload product from side loader truck
• Collect payment for product as required
• May be assigned to warehouse duties as needed

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 21 years of age

Physical Demands

• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
• Must be able to frequently lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 48pounds
• Must be able to regularly sit and operate machinery such as a forklift, pallet jacks, and battery change stations
• Work may involve repetitive motions, working at varying heights, and exposure to warehouse environmental conditions
• Extended hours, overtime, weekends, and peak‑season schedules may be required
