Job summary

Minneapolis Public Schools is seeking a World Languages - Spanish teacher for Anthony Middle for the 2026-2027 school year. This 0.6 FTE, 42-week position requires a valid Minnesota teaching license in Spanish and a bachelor's degree.

You will implement standards-based instruction, collaborate with peers, and participate in professional development. Master’s preferred; urban/multicultural experience valued; benefits include comprehensive insurance and retirement programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
• Prior successful experience student teaching or teaching in an urban, multicultural education setting.
• Demonstrated continued professional development through course work, research, peer collaboration and/or job-embedded staff development.
• Master's or PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality instruction aligned to state and national standards.
• Use varied assessment strategies (diagnostic, formative, summative) to inform instruction.
• Engage students in rigorous, inquiry-based learning and content mastery.
• Collaborate with peers to plan and implement best practices for diverse learners.
• Assess students’ developmental, cognitive and social needs and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Create safe, respectful, engaging, and inclusive classroom environments.
• Communicate with families and utilize community resources to support learning.
• Support district and campus goals and participate in ongoing professional development.

Bachelor's Degree
