Job summary

Minneapolis Public Schools seeks an Elementary Teacher for Las Estrellas (B/B Spanish) Advanced Learners for 2026-2027. This 0.2 FTE position requirements include a valid Minnesota elementary teaching license and bilingual Spanish/English proficiency.

The role involves delivering standards-aligned instruction and collaborating with staff and families to support student success. Responsibilities include diverse instructional strategies, regular assessments, and contributing to campus STEM

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
• Prior successful experience student teaching or teaching in an urban, multicultural setting.
• Demonstrated ongoing professional development through coursework and collaboration.
• Master's or PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Know and implement Minnesota State Standards and district requirements; adapt to student needs.
• Teach curricula using strategies that foster thinking, reasoning and problem solving.
• Collaborate with peers to develop and implement best practices for diverse learners.
• Assess developmental, cognitive and social needs with developmentally appropriate instruction.
• Create safe, respectful, engaging learning environments across diverse backgrounds.
• Collaborate and communicate with families to support learning and decisions.
