Job summary

The Merit School in Stafford, VA is seeking a dedicated Spanish Teacher to inspire young learners and build foundational language skills. You will craft engaging lessons and create a joyful classroom that supports growth and curiosity.

You will collaborate with a supportive team, follow VA licensing standards, and participate in paid professional development and benefits. The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, with competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field with 30+ credits in child-related courses.
• Passion for working with young children and families.
• Willingness to adapt to school needs and maintain VA licensing standards.

What You Bring...

• Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following: Early Childhood Education (ECE), Elementary Education, or a bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of 30 credits in child-related credits. Active and current enrollment in an accredited program may be considered when combined with experience
• Experience working with young children; school setting and/or childcare facility
• Willingness to work flexibility hours based on the needs of the school and program
• Ability to meet VA licensing standards and pass a background check
• Ability to cultivate a safe and stimulating classroom environment

Compensation...

• The hourly rate for this position is between $15.00 - $18.00 per hour.
• The pay range listed is what we in good faith anticipate offering for this job position.
• Actual compensation within this range will be determined by several factors, including a candidate's experience, education and training, certifications, geographic location and other relevant organization and business factors.
