Job summary

Regional School District 13 seeks a Middle School World Language (Spanish) teacher to design, plan, and deliver lessons aligned with state standards, and to support diverse learners.

The successful candidate holds a valid Connecticut certification (023), guides students toward responsible citizenship, and collaborates with colleagues to set instructional goals in a supportive, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid CT certification (023).
• Experience teaching world languages at middle school level preferred.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and implement subject area lessons based on applicable state standards.
• Ensure accommodations and modifications are made for the growth and development of all students.
• Guide students in maintaining acceptable standards of classroom behavior.
• Maintain records of individual student achievement and evaluating students on a continuous basis.
• Meet and instruct assigned classes at designated times.
• Prepare for classes and maintaining written evidence of preparation.
• Uphold and enforce school rules, school board policies, and administrative regulations.
• Work with other members of the world language staff to plan instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
• Supports and promotes the District's Core Ethical Values with students, colleagues and parents.
