Job summary

The Goddard School of Atlanta (Midtown) is seeking a passionate Spanish Teacher to inspire young children with language and culture through joyful, developmentally appropriate activities.

You will collaborate with Lead and Assistant Teachers to integrate Spanish into daily learning, create engaging lessons, and foster an inclusive classroom where every child feels supported and excited to learn.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish required; native or near-native proficiency preferred.
• Experience teaching Spanish or working with young children preferred.
• Passion for early childhood education and language development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate Spanish lessons and activities for young children.
• Introduce Spanish vocabulary, phrases, songs, stories, games, and cultural experiences.
• Create a positive environment that builds confidence and interest in learning Spanish.
• Collaborate with Lead and Assistant Teachers to integrate Spanish into routines and curriculum.
• Supervise children indoors and outdoors, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Communicate with teachers and families about children's participation and progress.

Spanish Teacher Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate Spanish lessons and activities for young children
• Introduce Spanish vocabulary, phrases, songs, stories, games, and cultural experiences in a fun and interactive way
• Create a positive and encouraging environment that builds children's confidence and interest in learning Spanish
• Adapt lessons and activities to meet the developmental needs and interests of individual children
• Collaborate with Lead and Assistant Teachers to integrate Spanish into the classroom curriculum and daily routines
• Encourage children to participate through music, movement, conversation, storytelling, and hands-on activities
• Supervise children indoors and outdoors, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment where every child feels supported and valued
• Communicate with teachers and families about children's participation and progress
• Organize and maintain engaging Spanish-language classroom materials and resources
• Maintain clean and inviting learning spaces while adhering to health and safety standards
• Support routine childcare tasks and contribute to a nurturing, high-quality learning environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required
• Fluency in Spanish required; native or near-native proficiency preferred
• Previous experience teaching Spanish or working with young children preferred
• Passion for early childhood education and language development

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
