Job summary

Allied Universal® in San Diego, CA is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Patrol, fluent in Spanish, to safeguard clients across transportation facilities and other sites. You will maintain a visible presence, deliver excellent customer service, and respond professionally to security concerns.

The role offers a flexible schedule (Day Time Sat and Sun shifts), requires fluent Spanish, a high school diploma, background check and drug screen, and a valid driver's license for driving positions.

Qualifications

• Speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transportation clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transportation facilities, parking areas, loading zones, vehicle yards, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
