Job summary

Shining Stars Montessori Academy Public Charter School is seeking a bilingual Classroom Assistant (Spanish-speaking) to support a Dual-Language Montessori environment for Children’s House (PK3-K) and Lower Elementary (1–3). The role is 10 months full-time with health, dental, holidays, and tuition remission benefits.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree (preferred), background check, and 2–5 years with preschoolers (preferred). Training opportunities are provided during year one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Background check required.
• 2–5 preschool experience preferred.
• CDA training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the classroom environment.
• Manage the flow of the classroom.
• Support children in resolving conflicts and concerns.
• Be a role model in speech, tone, demeanor and actions.
• Serve as record keeper of children's work and social interactions; help set up for nap and lunch.
• Supervise recess.
• Support dismissal.
• Assist with cleaning.
• Assist with toileting (Children’s House).
• Serve the needs of the children and community.
