Job summary

PRACTICE in New York is seeking Education Champions to tutor 6th grade in ELA & Math and 7th–8th grade in Math. The program runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, offering a flexible schedule and meaningful impact for urban students.

As an Education Champion, you’ll provide one-on-one and small group tutoring, collaborate with teachers and school leaders, and help students reach their full potential through personalized learning strategies.

Qualifications

• Degree-seeking student or graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Education or a relevant field.
• Available to work 10-35 hours per week at assigned school(s).
• Bilingual Spanish speaking tutors required for roles described.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science and Regents prep.
• Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to deliver engaging, personalized learning strategies.
• Help students thrive academically and personally, closing the opportunity gap.
