Job summary

Stars Behavioral Health Group in Torrance, CA is seeking a Behavioral Health Support Counselor who speaks Spanish to join the Star View Teammates High Fidelity Wraparound program. Starting compensation ranges from $21.03 to $25.00 per hour.

This full-time role offers regular hours Monday through Friday, with opportunities for CEUs and supervision for BBS hours. You will build trusting relationships with youth and families, provide practical behavioral support, and collaborate with a youth

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (FS I).
• Associate's degree in a Mental Health, Human Services or closely related field (FS II).
• Bachelor’s degree in a mental health, human services, or closely related field (FS III).
• Three years experience FS I with emotionally disturbed children and families.
• Two years experience FS II with emotionally disturbed children and families.
• One year experience FS III with emotionally disturbed children and/or families.
• Valid California Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with youth and caregivers and provide practical guidance.
• Uncover unmet needs, teach coping skills, and bridge gaps to improve family dynamics.
• Engage youth and caregivers to practice new skills and create lasting connections.
