Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; successful completion of conversation/translation competency testing in secondary language; knowledge of Medical Terminology

Responsibilities

• Provide interpreter services and convey exact messages to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate daily records of service requests and provided services.
• Promote patient satisfaction and coordinate with the International Patient Center and Duke staff.
• Participate in on-call coverage for interpretation during non-business hours as assigned.
