Job summary

Liberty Language Services is seeking on-site medical interpreters to provide in-person interpretation services for clients across Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, and Maryland. This freelance role offers flexible scheduling and workload based on client needs.

Requirements include valid U.S. work authorization, residency in the DC/VA/MD area, willingness to travel, background checks, drug screening, and completion of a 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Course with language proficiency

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. work authorization.
• Residency in the Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, or Maryland area.
• Willingness to travel to client locations.
• Willingness to undergo Background check.
• Willingness to undergo drug screening.
• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion or intention to complete a 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Course (certificate from a reputable institution required).
• An Oral Language Proficiency Test in English and your target language(s).

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site medical interpretation services for clients in the Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, and Maryland areas.
• Interpret in healthcare settings in-person with fidelity and professionalism.
