Job summary

Liberty Language Services is seeking on-site Nepali interpreters to provide in-person interpretation in healthcare settings across Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, and Maryland. This freelance opportunity offers flexible workload and scheduling.

Candidates must have a 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Course, valid U.S. work authorization, and be willing to travel to client sites plus undergo background checks and drug screening. Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Are you bilingual and passionate about breaking down language barriers in healthcare? If so, we’d love to have you on our team!

We are currently hiring on-site Nepali interpreters to provide in-person interpretation services for our clients in the Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, and Maryland areas.

Please Note: This is a freelance opportunity, not a full-time or part-time position. Your workload will vary based on client needs, offering you the flexibility to choose when and how much you work.

• Valid U.S. work authorization
• Residency in the Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, or Maryland area
• Willingness to travel to client locations
• Willingness to undergo Background check
• Willingness to undergo drug screening
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion or intention to complete the following:
• A 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Course (certificate from a reputable institution required)
• An Oral Language Proficiency Test in both English and your target language(s)
