Tierra Encantada in Worthington, OH is seeking a Classroom Assistant to support Toddler classrooms in a full-time, weekday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The starting pay is $15.53–$17.08 per hour, depending on education and experience.

Fluency in Spanish and strong communication with families are essential for this role. Qualifications include prior early childhood education experience, pediatric first aid/CPR certification within 90 days, and a commitment to ongoing trainings and diversity

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in Spanish.
• Experience in early childhood education preferred.
• Provide a certificate of completion of an approved pediatric first aid and CPR training within 90 days of hire.
• Must have respect for diversity.
• Must be able to complete annual trainings to ensure high-quality early education.

Responsibilities

• Create a fun and welcoming environment for all children
• Develop daily activities to support curriculum and educational objectives
• Oversee the daily operations of the classroom including activities, projects, curriculum implementation and cleanliness
• Assess each child's developmental needs through observations
• Implement Tierra Encantada's curriculum and lesson plans
• Collaborate with teachers and leadership for parent conferences
• Maintain classroom décor seasonally and ensure a safe environment
• Provide parents with updates during pick-up/drop-off
• Foster relationships with teachers, cooks, floats, and administration
• Attend required staff meetings and trainings
• Support accreditation objectives
• Other duties as assigned
