Job summary

Tierra Encantada - Old Irving Park is hiring two Full-Time Classroom Assistants to support preschool classrooms. Responsibilities include creating a welcoming environment, developing play-based activities, and assisting teachers with curriculum implementation.

The role requires Spanish fluency, childcare experience preferred, and the candidate must complete required trainings (24 hours/year) and CPR/first aid certification within 90 days of hire. Health benefits and PTO provided.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish required.
• Experience in early childhood education preferred.
• Must obtain pediatric first aid & CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Familiar with childcare licensing and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Create a fun and welcoming environment for all children.
• Develop daily activities that support curriculum and objectives through play.
• Oversee classroom operations including schedules, projects, and cleanliness.
• Observe and assess children’s developmental needs.
• Implement Tierra Encantada’s curriculum and lesson plans.
• Coordinate with teachers and leadership for parent conferences.
