Job summary

Rowan-Salisbury Schools is seeking an Exceptional Children Spanish Interpreter & Parent Liaison to facilitate communication between the ECD and Spanish-speaking families. The role includes interpretation at IEP and conference meetings, plus translation of documents to ensure understanding of the special education process.

Term of Employment is 12 months with duties encompassing parent engagement, training, and collaboration with school staff to support students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, writing).
• Experience in public schools or educational settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret orally between English and Spanish during IEP, eligibility, and evaluation meetings.
• Translate special education documents (IEPs, notices, evaluations, forms).
• Engage with families to explain processes, safeguards, and district resources.
• Coordinate parent trainings and community partnerships; support family engagement.
