Job summary

Verizon is seeking a full-time Retail Sales Associate in New York to grow sales in one of our retail stores. You will learn customer needs, position product insights, and close sales using clear, persuasive communication.

The position offers a base pay of $16.00–$21.00 per hour, plus up to $18,000 per year in commissions if goals are met, with top performers potentially earning $65,000–$75,500 annually. Competitive benefits start day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays (schedule known four weeks in advance).
• Open to picking up additional shifts to earn more income, especially during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Generate retail sales by leveraging passion for technology and customer service.
• Learn and uncover customers' needs by connecting and asking questions.
• Position product insights and recommendations to provide a complete top-down solution.
• Close sales using strong communication to fulfill customer needs with tech solutions.
• Continue to develop through ongoing training and ups k ill in operations, merchandising and inventory.
• Grow customer base by outbound calls and texts to current Verizon customers.
• Engage with the community at Verizon events to expand loyal customer base.
