Job summary

Charleston Southern University’s Department of Languages invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor of Spanish. The successful candidate will teach Spanish online and/or in-person, depending on the semester and departmental needs, under a part-time, term-by-term contract structure. Start Date: 2025 Fall Semester.

Candidates should be professing Christians, committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service, and willing to explore with students the integration of faith and learning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Spanish or language education or a comparable field.
• At least eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in the teaching specialty are required.
• Evidence of successful teaching experience is also requested.

Responsibilities

• The Adjunct Instructor will teach Spanish online and/or in-person depending on the semester and departmental needs.
• Part‑time adjuncts are contracted term‑by‑term based on course/section need and availability.
