Job summary

The successful candidate will evaluate student work, hold office hours, maintain attendance and grades, and participate in meetings and professional development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Spanish or related field with 18 graduate‑level hours in Spanish.
• Fluency in Spanish.
• Experience teaching Spanish at undergraduate/graduate level as instructor of record.
• Experience with instructional technology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Teaches courses in Spanish program.
• Prepares and delivers in-person learning activities to achieve course outcomes.
• Develops course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and CMS content.
• Evaluates and grades students’ class work, online work, assignments, papers, and examinations.
• Holds a minimum of two regularly scheduled office hours per week.
• Maintains and submits attendance records, grades and other required documentation.
• Communicates with enrolled students via Salem email account.
• Participates in periodic meetings with supervisors, division or College.
