Job summary

State of Oklahoma is seeking an experienced Airports Division Assistant Manager / Deputy Spaceport Director to lead, coordinate, and advance airport and spaceport programs across the state. The role oversees staff, planning, engineering, CIP, and development activities, with frequent travel to Burns Flat and other sites.

You will collaborate with FAA personnel, sponsors, consultants, and government agencies to ensure compliance and project success, while guiding strategic initiatives and program

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in airport engineering, planning, management, construction, or aviation programs.
• Experience coordinating with sponsors, FAA, consultants, and government stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and project management skills.
• Ability to travel locally and out-of-state as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Airports Division Manager with administration of policies, budgets, and work plans.
• Provide leadership and coordination to Division staff and projects.
• Coordinate engineering, planning, programming, construction, and airport development activities.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for Department leadership.
• Lead spaceport operations and business development activities for the Infinity One Oklahoma Spaceport.
