Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a Software Engineering Manager to lead spacecraft software for NASA programs at Johnson Space Center.

You will guide development of the Orion Wireless Camera and Lunar EVA software, oversee the full software lifecycle, and coordinate testing and verification efforts in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. The role requires strong leadership, superb communication, and hands-on expertise in C, Linux, and safety-critical systems, with a focus on delivering

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen or permanent resident status required for access to facilities.
• Experience in safety-critical software development and certification is required.
• Strong C programming skills and Linux experience; full software life cycle experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 5+ person spacecraft software team; prioritize features and schedule.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
• Develop and maintain OWC and LEOC flight software; design GUIs and CDDs.
• Develop automated tests for unit, integration and verification tests.
• Perform software integration, test, verification and flight certification activities.
• Collaborate with NASA teams and contractors across programs.
