Job summary

SQA Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Aerospace Quality Engineer to provide resident QA support for satellite communications hardware used in spaceflight applications.

The candidate will work on NASA programs with hands-on experience in workmanship standards, fabrication, assembly, testing, nonconformance management, and QA documentation. This role requires proactive, detail-oriented QA professionals who can identify issues, evaluate discrepancies, ensure procedural compliance, and

Qualifications

• Experience as an Aerospace Quality Engineer supporting satellite systems or spaceflight hardware.
• QA oversight for fabrication, assembly, inspection, and testing of flight hardware.
• Current NASA workmanship certifications (8739.1/8739.4) or RF exception.
• Knowledge of nonconformance reporting, CAPA, and MRB activities.
• Ability to review work orders, procedures, test plans, inspection records, and shipping documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present findings to stakeholders.
• On-site in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities

• Provide QA oversight for satellite communications flight hardware throughout fabrication, assembly, inspection, and testing.
• Evaluate quality issues and discrepancies; provide timely assessments and recommendations.
• Monitor critical processes identified by the task requester.
• Verify compliance with quality requirements and project documentation.
• Identify workmanship concerns and documentation gaps before hardware acceptance.
